Oak and Orca’s personalised and flexible approach to K-12 education is rooted in bioregionalism, diversity, and collaboration.
Our vision is to provide educational opportunities that empower children to create fundamental social change towards more fulfilling and ecologically sustainable communities. To this end, we have chosen a teaching approach that models bioregional philosophies and provides freedom of expression and choice to students.
Our guiding principles include:
- offering affordable, inclusive, and accessible education,
- supporting local, ecologically sound economies, and
- respecting the integrity of the natural environment in which we live.
With a balance of inquiry and structure, compassionate teacher guidance, and a curated collection of resources, we support learners in person in Victoria and at home around the province from kindergarten through to graduation (Dogwood or Evergreen). Inclusive Education supports are available.
